Where would you like to live?

I'm back from my hometown visit to Cali and it dawns on me- now where I live is all on me. It really is simple when you're younger since decisions to where you will live are decided on where your friends decide to live and ultimately by your parents. As I get older and older, the path is interesting- it becomes more of a solo one- still dependant on the relationships around you, but defined more so by my own personal pursuits and interests.

To a major change in lifestyle before the end of 2011...

Highlights of my trip:

  • Eun Dae Goo Jo Reem
  • Seeing how Korean food is making its way into the non-Korean community
  • Aji Sushi & Fried ama ebi heads
  • Mom's ssam jang & perilla leaves
  • Freshly baked Korean bakery bread
  • Persian ice cream
  • Genwa Korean BBQ
  • Donut dessert at the Edison
  • El Taurino lengua & cabeza tacos
  • LB Farmers Market- the breeze, w/ mom, homemade mexican food, sweet-ripe-huge-beautiful fruit and produce, mix of crowd
  • Random meet-up w/ old school church friends
  • LA DJs and dancing
  • Drive along PCH
  • Driving w/ mindless, dance-inducing music
  • Getting new music
  • Reconnecting w/ friends coupled w/ new conversations w/ new people
  • Being a tourist in my own hometown
  • Realizing the laidback culture of LA
  • Eye candy
  • Beach
  • Cali weather
  • "You can take the girl out of Cali, but can't take the Cali out of the girl..."
  • the list goes on and on...
and of course I forgot my camera at the most crucial moments...here are just a few food highlights:
