not letting go

There are some things we should never let go of, or stop doing. I know we're in the age of texting and emailing and seldom have real converations with other human beings..BUT..I'd like to hold on to a couple things. Here are 2:

1) Thank You cards: I never wrote thank you cards until my friend from the mid-west sent me one. She holds on to "old-school" etiquette and continues to write these. When I received one from her I really liked it and appreciated it far more than an email she could've easily sent- thank you, Ms. "old school etiquette".

2) Phone calls: Yes, these are rare and I hardly get these or make calls anymore either..BUT from time to time, I think we have to force ourselves to make-the-call...

OK, enough writing for the night. I'm off for an evening jog!
